Creating a home butterfly garden can be a rewarding endeavor. After all, what could make your garden even more enjoyable than watching these beautiful winged creatures glide about from flower to flower? The key to attracting butterflies is creating an area that has sunlight, shelter from the wind and plenty of nectar plants.

You probably already have a good spot in your garden that would be great for butterflies. They love to have a sunny spot, because they actually need the heat and sun to fly properly. Choose an area that has at least six hours of sun every day and that’s sure to appeal to your butterflies.
